Diglipur, May 1: The team of PS Diglipur worked extremely hard to trace a missing minor boy of Subash Gram, Diglipur village. The boy was missing since 28/04/23 from his home. His parents searched all possible areas in and around Diglipur and when his whereabouts could not be traced, they approached PS Diglipur on 29/04/23.

Port Blair, May 1: The ANCA’s Chess Summer Camp 2023 began today the 1st May 2023 at Khalsa Public Sr. Sec. School, Gurudwara Lane, Port Blair.

A good number of young kids from various schools in and around Port Blair are taking part in this 45 days Chess Summer camp which is being organised by the Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) in collaboration with Khalsa Public School, Port Blair.

Port Blair, May 1: The District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) in collaboration with State Institute of Education (SIE), Port Blair is conducting a 5 days Capacity Building Programme on Learning Outcomes for HM (Primary) and PSTs from May 1 to June 23, 2023 in 8 Phases in three different venues- DIET, SIE and GSS Junglighat.

Port Blair, May 1: May Day was celebrated all over the Andaman & Nicobar Islands jointly by the Centre of Indian Trade Unions and Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association today (1.5.2023) by organizing various programmes.  

The main programme was held at Port Blair. The May Day Rally was taken out from the Crusade House premises at Phoenix Bay, Port Blair which after making a round of the important points of Port Blair town culminated in a public meeting. A large number of workers from the Port Blair town participated in the May Day Rally. May Day Rally was led by B. Chandrachoodan, BC Bhattacharjee, M. Boominathan, Anand Rajan, M. Yugandar among others.    

Port Blair, May 1: The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Andaman & Nicobar Administration celebrated World Veterinary Day at Veterinary Institutions across the Islands to recognize and celebrate the important roles of Veterinarians in animal and human health and ecology. The theme for World Veterinary Day-2023 was ‘Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusiveness in the veterinary profession.’  As part of the celebration, a programme was organized in the Conference Hall, of Veterinary Hospital, Junglighat. The SVOs of South Andaman District participated along with the Directorate Officials and staff of Veterinary Hospital, Junglighat. Shri G Sudhakar, IAS, Secretary, AH&VS was the chief guest on the occasion.
